Research Mentorship Conference Proceedings

Research Mentorship Conference Proceedings
Research Mentorship and Training in Communication Sciences and Disorders is a compendium of presentations featured during a 1993 program sponsored jointly by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation and the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders.

The landmark conference addressed issues, strategies, and approaches that promote research mentorship across settings and disciplines. In these proceedings, individuals from academic, clinical, and research settings explore the most current information about mentoring and related research training data. The 207-page publication includes presentations from more than 20 leaders within and outside the professions of speech-language pathology and audiology.

This book will provide audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and professionals interested in or currently involved in research activities, with information to bridge science and practice and ultimately to encourage new scientists in their research efforts. Presentations include graphs and charts as well as references. A directory lists the names and addresses of the conference faculty.
