Annual Giving Campaign
The ASHFoundation Annual Giving Campaign raises money for the
General Fund as well as several special endowment funds. These
funds make it possible for the Foundation to:
- Nurture the best and brightest students to sustain the
growth of the discipline and field of communication sciences.
The Foundation does this through scholarship awards.
- Support priority research to advance services for children
and adults with speech, language, or hearing disorders. The
Foundation awards thousands of dollars in research grants each
year.
- Recognize outstanding clinical achievement that will lead
to innovation in science and practice. Since 1983, the
Foundation has been proud to honor communication science
professionals with special recognition awards.
The Annual Campaign provides donations to sustain the current
research and education programs vital to the field of
communication disorders. Awards totaling $4,567,120 have
supported more than 1,595 doctoral and post-doctoral researchers,
graduate students, and outstanding leaders since the
ASHFoundation's inception.
However, the ASHFoundation is able to fund only one in seven
research proposals received each year and only one of every 25
scholarship applications. With more than 2,000 requests and
nearly 300 applications to various funding programs annually,
there are many more promising research projects and qualified
individuals in need of funding.
Support is key to helping in the prevention, assessment, and
treatment of communication disorders, learn how you can
