Whaley was the first woman in 58 years to qualify for a PGA tour event when she qualified for the 2003 Greater Hartford Open. The event features a combination of challenging golf on the ChampionsGate International Course and luxurious accommodations that will delight both golfer and non-golfer alike! A golfer's paradise, ChampionsGate is named among the Top 100 Golf Resorts in the World by Conde Nast Traveler and is home to two world-class golf courses designed by internationally renowned golfer Greg Norman. In addition to superb walk-out golf from your hotel room, it is also the world headquarters of the David Leadbetter Golf Academy.
