ASHFoundation Dreams and Possibilities Campaign Exceeds $2M Goal
Two major gifts put the ASHFoundation's Dreams and Possibilities Campaign over the top! Upon hearing the news of the Bamford Lahey Children's Foundation gift of $36,000, Hearing HealthCare News pledged an additional $10,000 to make the Dreams and Possibilities Campaign goal of $2 million a reality.
Launched in 1999, the Dreams and Possibilities Campaign set out to raise funds to support doctoral-level education and research in the field of communication sciences and disorders. Through more than 600 corporate and individual gifts and 5-year pledges, the Campaign was less than $50,000 short of reaching its goal until the these two most recent major gifts.
The New Century Scholars Program, a direct outgrowth of the Dreams and Possibilities Campaign, has awarded $810,000 since 2003, through 54 doctoral scholarships and 27 research grants to support strong doctoral candidates and innovative investigators who are committed to teacher-investigator careers in the university or college academic environment or in external research institutes.
