LinguiSystems Donates $100,000 to the ASHFoundation

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation received its largest 2010 corporate donation when LinguiSystems presented a $100,000 donation to the Foundation's Annual Fund.

LinguiSystems' co-founders and co-owners, Linda Bowers, SLP, and Rosemary Huisingh, SLP, expressed their intention to continue this level of donation annually. LinguiSystems has been a regular and committed donor supporting the ASHFoundation annual scholarship and research programs and special initiatives, such as the Dreams and Possibilities capital campaign and the annual Golf Benefit Classic.

"We hope that our gift, in small part, will help sustain and grow the number of advanced scholars and cutting-edge research in our field," said Linda Bowers and Rosemary Huisingh in a joint statement. "We hope this commitment not only raises the number of PhDs in the professions, but that these scientists will develop groundbreaking research that advances the fields of speech-language pathology and audiology to directly inform clinical practice."

LinguiSystems' support will help the ASHFoundation continue its vision and mission to advance knowledge about the causes and treatment of hearing, speech, and language problems.
