Achievement: For her work on the National Outcomes
Measurements System (NOMS) for speech-language pathology and
audiology which was designed to provide outcomes information to
prove the effectiveness of services provided to

Achievement: For organizing and implementing a school-based
Swallowing Action Team (SWAT) designed to assure safe nutrition
and hydration for students at risk for swallowing dysfunction
during school hours.

Achievement: For aiding in the development of the Minimum
Data Set (MDS), a comprehensive assessment instrument which
assesses residents of nursing homes nationwide that receive
Medicare and Medicaid funding with a goal of improving service
delivery to the elderly.

Achievement: For his role as teacher, researcher, colleague,
and mentor in the area of fluency and articulation/phonological
disorders, specifically in the areas of diagnosis and treatment
for both children and adults.

intervention program entitled Maximizing Academic Growth by
Improving Communication (MAGIC), which was designed to examine
how an integrative form of intervention in kindergarten and
first grade can impact a studentÕs abilities in the

Achievement: For leading a delegation of speech-language
pathologists to Russia and the Czech republic in order to
promote professional growth and understanding and for
