Supporting Children With Developmental Language Disorder

In The ASHA Leader’s January 2018 Foundational Questions column, Amanda Van Horne, recipient of a 2012 Clinical Research Grant, discusses how her ASHFoundation funding supported her research to understand the cognitive mechanisms and the type of input that supports language learning in children with Developmental Language Disorder. This early ASHFoundation funded study led to a K23 grant through the National Institute of Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) to further her research.
