2016 New Century Scholars Doctoral Scholarship

Nature of the Competition
The American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation (ASHFoundation) invites doctoral students accepted or enrolled in a research doctoral program to submit applications in competition for the New Century Scholars Doctoral Scholarship.
The intention of this program is to support strong doctoral candidates who will pursue a teacher-investigator career in the academic environment, university/college level. It is made possible by the ASHFoundation's Dreams and Possibilities Campaign which raised significant funds to strengthen doctoral education and research support in the discipline of communication sciences and disorders.
For 2016, the ASHFoundation will award up to 15 scholarships of $10,000 each. All scholarship recipients will be announced and recognized at the November 2016 ASHA Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Potential applicants should carefully read the section on eligibility and, upon determining that all criteria are met, prepare an application for submission according to the application requirements.
Scholarship funding is to be directed toward educational support such as tuition, books, school-related expenses, living expenses, but not for personal or professional travel.
